Donations Summary Report

Use the Google Sheet widget in Data Bridge to generate a Donation summary for the year.

Step 1: Create a query Information Library

  • Click on “Analysis” in Altru.
  • Click on “Information Library”.
  • Click on “Add an ad-hoc” query.
  • Click on “Sales Orders” query type.
  • Click on “OK”.

The first three columns in the results fields to display should not be removed or rearranged. These fields are used to generate charts in the template:

  • System record ID
  • Transaction date
  • Amount value
Include records where:
Transaction date is this calendar year
and Sales Order Item\Sales Order Item Donation\Revenue Application\Type is equal to Gift
Results fields to display:
Sales Order Item\Sales Order Item Donation\Id
Transaction date
Sales Order Item\Sales Order Item Donation\Amount
Sales Order Item\Description

Save the query

  • Click on the "Preview results".
  • Verify that the number of rows/records is less than 15k.
  • Click on the "Set save options".
  • Name your query with “- SGS” at the end (Example: eTicket confirmation email - SGS).
  • On the bottom right, click on "Save and close".

Export the query

  • Click on the "Get OData link".
  • Copy the OData link to use in the next step.

Step 2: Create a new Data Bridge using theGoogle Sheets Connection Steps

Step 3: Prepare and set up your Google Sheet

Make a copy of the Google Sheet Donation Report Template.

Step 4: Guide Sheet

  • Copy the direct link from your Data Bridge widget settings and paste it into the Guide sheet
  • Copy the username from the widget settings and paste it into the Guide sheet
  • Copy the password from the widget settings and paste it into the Guide sheet

Step 5: Generate Report

  • In the Query results sheet, click on Download data
  • View the generated report in the Report sheet

How long does it take to SYNC over a list?

This depends on the size of your list; for example, if your list size is 1,000 contacts, it takes five minutes to complete the sync process.
