Descriptions

Descriptions details:

If a custom checkout was created, the checkout description is managed in Checkouts. Any changes to the description should be made directly in Checkouts.

If the organization is not using a custom checkout, the Checkout description is managed in Altru. Any changes should be made directly in Altru.

Custom checkout descriptions do not automatically sync between Checkouts and Altru. Updating the description in one system will not update it in the other.

After a custom checkout is created, the description from Altru is carried into the new checkout. This one-time copy facilitates the initial editing process for the description. After this initial creation, the descriptions in Checkouts and Altru are separated and no longer synced.

Once the web form is available online, always update the description in the system that manages it:

Checkouts: If you have a custom Checkout, create it and manage it with Social Good.

Altru: If you do not have a custom Checkout manage it with Altru

Avoid updating descriptions in both systems, as this can cause confusion or mismatched content.
